Awatere Valley, Wine & Gardens.

This tour takes us into the Awatere Valley where we visit Paripuma Gardens, a New Zealand native plant garden on the coast. From here we will travel to Seddon and have a wine tasting at Tupari with a platter lunch and then travel to Yealands where we will drive around the white road and visit the Yealands cellar door. Morning tea and lunch is included. Maximum number six (6). Tour is seasonal available during spring and summer months.

This is a private tour and is only available on request.

Join us on a full day exploration to Awatere Valley to explore two of New Zealand’s finest wine producers and visit one of the region’s best family-owned gardens.

Our tour starts at 10.00 am with pick-up from your central city accommodation, or Seymour Square. Driving south we enter Awatere Valley where you can view the highest mountain peak in Marlborough and the highest outside of the Southern Alps - Mt Tapuae-O-Ueneku.

Paripuma a native haven where we meet our host, Rosa Davidson. Rosa will show us her extensive 4-hectare garden which marries formal European design with New Zealand native plantings and unobstructed views over the Pacific Ocean. A magical beachside paradise.

Tupari Cellar door. Situated in the small community of Seddon this cellar door offers the opportunity to taste wine that is produced from grapes planted high up in the Awatere Valley on steep river terraces.

Yealands and the White Road.     Yealands have been producing wine in the region for 15+ years and occupies one of the most scenic spots in Marlborough. In 2023 the Yealands head wine maker was voted best wine white maker in the world.  The vies from the white road are spectacular.

Our tour concludes at approximately 3:30 pm back in Blenheim
